R. Nickson Interiors Featured in Architectural Digest: Mudroom Goals, Upgraded
We’re honored (and pretty pumped!) to share that one of our recent projects was featured in Architectural Digest’s roundup of brilliant mudroom design ideas — and this one’s not just a place to drop your shoes.
What used to be a wood-clad hunting storage room is now a light-filled, multi-functional space that’s equal parts mudroom and home gym. Think: checkerboard floors, ballet barre, Peloton, and plenty of functional storage — all seamlessly blended into one cohesive (and good-looking) zone.
As Nicole shared with AD,
“The family already had an active lifestyle, so designing a space with all their favorite equipment—Peloton, free weights, and a ballet barre—felt like a natural extension of their routine. Now, instead of being an afterthought, the gym is seamlessly integrated into their home and used just as much as the rest of it.”
We love when hard-working spaces don’t look like hard-working spaces — and this one proves that utility doesn’t have to mean boring. The goal? Make the everyday feel elevated and intentional.
