High Point Market 2023…
High Point Market is the place to be if you are looking for the latest trends in design and decor. Last week, I had the opportunity to attend this event and it was truly an amazing experience. As a designer, I was excited to see the new products from dozens of vendors, touch and feel the items and source for current projects. The event was a great opportunity to take mental notes for future use and to see what’s trending in the design industry!
One of the most exciting parts of High Point Market was the opportunity to sit on the seminars related to different areas of design. The seminars were informative and allowed me to gain insights on the latest trends, design techniques and industry best practices. The topics covered included color trends, sustainability in design, furniture design, and much more. The seminars provided a great platform to learn from experts in the industry and to network with other designers.
Apart from the seminars, attending socials was another great way to network with vendors and designers. It was exciting to meet and talk to other designers and to learn from their experiences. The socials were a great way to build relationships with vendors, which is important for sourcing the best products for my clients.
During the event, I also came across some amazing trends that I am excited to incorporate into my future designs. One of the trends that caught my eye was the use of burl wood in furniture and decor. Burl wood adds a unique texture and character to furniture pieces, making the, stand out in any room. Another exciting trend was the use of items finished in all sides, including beds and night stands. This allows for a more versatile use of furniture pieces in a room.
I also noticed the use of scallops in design, which adds a playful and whimsical touch to any space. Mushroom decor was also a trend that stood out to me, adding a natural and organic touch to any space. The event also showcased various ways to customize furniture pieces, providing endless possibilities for my clients.
In conclusion, attending High Point Market was an incredible experience that provided me with new ideas, trends and techniques to use in my future designs. The seminars, socials and the opportunity to touch and feel the products made this event a valuable learning experience.
