Guest Appearance on Bridging Success with Bo Jakins

I recently joined Bo Jakins, host of the Bridging Success podcast, to share my journey as a creative entrepreneur, designer, and mother. Our conversation focused on what it takes to build a modern design practice rooted in creativity, technology, and heart.

We discussed how I’ve grown R. Nickson Interiors with both structure and artistry. Tools like Design Files and organized cloud systems help keep our operations streamlined, while AI-powered visualizations allow clients to experience their spaces before any changes are made. Technology has become a powerful way to bring clarity and confidence to the design process.

At the core of my work, design is always personal. Every project begins with a client’s story, lifestyle, and vision. My goal is to create spaces that reflect who they are rather than imposing a specific aesthetic. From custom palettes to thoughtful layouts, every detail is intentionally designed to feel authentic to the people who live or work there.

Bo and I also explored the balance between leadership and family life. As a business owner and a mom, I’ve learned that success isn’t about separating the two but finding ways for them to support each other. I often include my children in small parts of what I do, helping them see that creativity and entrepreneurship can coexist in meaningful ways.

For anyone navigating business ownership, creative growth, or the balance between work and home, this episode offers an honest look into both the challenges and the rewards of designing with purpose.

Thank you to Bo and the BridgeNet team for the opportunity to share my story and for creating space to discuss how creativity, technology, and family can come together to build something lasting.
